English Heritage Blue Plaque for Richard Dimbleby
The broadcaster Richard Dimbleby (1913-1965) has been commemorated with an English Heritage blue plaque at Cedar Court, Sheen Lane, East Sheen; the flat he lived in when he was delivering some of his earliest radio reports, including that on Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain's return from Munich.

Blue Plaques Scheme Position Statement
There has been a great deal of interest in the Blue Plaques Scheme and despite inaccurate reports, English Heritage remains committed to the Scheme and it will continue. However, our focus over the next two years will be to reduce a backlog of plaques that have already been agreed and to lay the foundations for a long-term future for the scheme that reduces the cost to the tax payer. For this reason, the scheme is being temporarily closed to new applications while we catch up with the backlog.

Blue Plaque for Richard Burton
Actor Michael Sheen - currently playing Hamlet at the Young Vic theatre in London - has today (11 November 2011) joined English Heritage to celebrate the life and work of one of the greatest classical and Shakespearean actors, Richard Burton (1925 - 1984).

Blue Plaque for Herbert Howells
The composer and teacher Herbert Howells (1892-1983) is to be commemorated with an English Heritage blue plaque at 3 Beverley Close, Barnes, SW13, his home from 1946 until a few weeks before his death. The plaque will be unveiled at 2pm on the 14th January 2011 by Canon Richard Ames-Lewis, former Rector of St Mary’s Church, Barnes.

English Heritage Blue Plaque for Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell
An English Heritage blue plaque is to be erected to Sir Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948) and Donald Campbell (1921-1967), the father and son who between them set ten land speed records and eleven on water. The plaque will be unveiled at Canbury School, Kingston-upon-Thames at 10.30am on 29th November 2010 by Don Wales, grandson of Sir Malcolm and nephew of Donald Campbell.
