Welcome to English Heritage’s Access to Information pages. Within these pages you will find out how to locate information already published by English Heritage and the process for making requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI Act) Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs) and Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).
All public authorities and government departments are required to abide by the Freedom of Information Act (FOI Act), Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs) and the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).
By placing a request you can obtain a wide range of information held by English Heritage, subject to certain exemptions.
English Heritage already makes a wide range of information publicly available, so please search this website and our Publication Scheme before placing a request.
The DPA allows you to access your own personal data held by a public authority, subject to exemptions. This is known as a Subject Access request.
Responses to requests which we regard as having a wider public interest are available on our Disclosure log.
