Mount Grace Priory

Nestling in the tranquil wooded countryside at the foot of the Cleveland Hills, Mount Grace Priory has one of the most beautiful settings of any English priory. Founded in 1398, it was the last monastery to be built in Yorkshire before the Reformation and clearly shows the hermit-like existence and piety of the monks of the Carthusian order.
