We will then carry our further research, potentially including a site visit, to find out more about the site. This information gathering exercise will then be put into an initial report comprising information on the history and description of the site, for consultation with the owner, local planning authority, the Battlefields Trust and the applicant. They will be invited to respond within 21 days on the facts we have laid out.

All the information and representations will then be considered, and English Heritage will make a final decision.
