The Places of Worship Forum (POWF) was created in 2006 and has the following roles:
- To be a forum for all those faith groups pursuing the conservation and sustainable future of historic places of worship.
- To provide a forum for consultation offering informed comment on matters concerning the work of English Heritage relating to historic places of worship of all denominations and faith groups.
Membership comprises representatives of the exempt denominations, grant-giving bodies, conservation groups and others with a particular interest in historic places of worship.
