Experience the atmosphere and drama of Kenilworth Castle under Norman attack.
King Henry is facing a widespread revolt throughout his lands in support of his eldest son, Henry the Young King. Normandy has been invaded from north, south and west and England is threatened with invasion from Scotland. The Earls of Norfolk and Leicester have seized the opportunity at home and are besieging Royalist castles in the midlands. They now want to take Kenilworth!
Against increasingly savage assaults and with dissension in his own ranks, will Geoffrey De Clinton be able to hold the walls of Kenilworth, or will he be swept aside by the rebel alliance?
Witness the opposing forces prepare for battle, with encampments outside and inside the castle, armour displays and an awe-inspiring trebuchet in action. Hear gruesome tales from the medieval surgeon and experience the fear and anticipation of battle with the rallying cry of generals as they prepare their soldiers for the impending bloodshed. This is an event none of the family want to miss!
