You can book online until 8.45am on the day of your visit. You can still buy a ticket when you arrive, but you won’t get the discount. 

Your booking is only for entry to the site or event, and you may need to pay for parking.

Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

You can join as a member online or during your visit.

Wheelchair Access
Yes. One wheelchair is available for upon request (please book in advance of your visit, as restrictions currently limit the number of wheelchairs that can be used inside the house at any given time).
Entrance / Set Down
Disabled visitors can be set down next to the entrance of the house (prior arrangement recommended).

Unfortunately there are no disabled spaces available.

Stairs
There are nine steps up to the front of the house. Inside there are two staircases (one with three flights totalling 49 stairs and one with 20). A disabled chair lift is available. We advise visitors with reduced mobility to call the house on 02088 530 035 before visiting to discuss arrangements prior to their visit.
Lift Access
Unfortunately, there is no interior lift. A wheelchair platform located on the exterior of the house allows access from street level to the ground floor. There is limited access to the upper floor via a Stannah chair lift. It is advised that visitors with reduced mobility contact the site (02088 530 035) or our sister site, Eltham Palace (02082 942 548) to discuss arrangements prior to their visit.
