Parking
Pay and display car park (refunded on admission). The mill car park has six spaces plus six disabled spaces. This car park is 50 metres from the reception and mill entrance. The top car park has parking for ten cars (and three coaches), and is 200 metres from the mill reception.
Food and Drink
Vending machine selling hot drinks. Shop sells a selection of snacks including crisps, cold drinks, confectionery and ice cream.
Picnic Area
You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds. There are picnic tables and benches available.
Shop
There is a small gift shop where bobbins made in the mill can be purchased.
Toilets
Male, female and disabled toilets on site.
Dogs
Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds only. Assistance dogs welcome across the site.
Museum
Stott Park Bobbin Mill is an industrial museum which explains the process of bobbin making in the Lake District. Visitors can book a guided tour of the mill to see how a wooden bobbin is made.
Exhibition
The Drying Barn has a permanent exhibition tracing the history of bobbin making. Visitors can watch demonstrations of the working machinery which still produces bobbins for sale today, and experience the traditional skills involved in this authentic Lakeland craft.
Gardens
Stott Park Bobbin Mill is situated within four acres of woodland close to Lake Windermere. It is convenient for local walks in the area. There is plenty of space for children to explore the grounds with a small play area by the picnic tables.
