Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair lift and ramp to enable access to the house. Fully accessible walled garden and visitor centre. The grounds have footpaths to most areas.
Entrance/Set Down
Set down for disabled visitors permitted directly outside the entrance.
Disabled Parking
Disabled parking for 9 cars available. Disabled visitors may park in disabled parking bays in front of Stranger’s Gate and receive access to the site by pressing the intercom. Exception is on event days when there is a separate disabled parking area.
Onsite Transport
A free, regular golf cart shuttle service is available to help visitors explore the whole landscape.
Stairs
Steps at entrance, but alternative disabled platform lift entrance available via the Italian Garden (accessed through Stranger’s Gate entrance). Steps or steep slope to the Orangery and steep steps to the Pavilion. Ramp to access Bowling Green House.
Lift Access
Disabled lift access to the house. No wheelchair access to the first floor of the house.
