The fifth major art and design project for Belsay included fifteen new works for the Hall, Castle and Gardens. An eclectic mix of projected film, sculptural installation, fashion, sound and performance that animated the usually empty rooms of the Hall and Castle.
The works invited visitors to consider the social and architectural history of this magnificent site and included such artists as Viktor and Rolf fashion designers, actress Tilda Swinton and playwright husband John Byrne, singer Antony Hegarty (from Antony and the Johnsons), Mike Figgis film director working with Boudicca and The Brothers Quay.
