Contemporary art at Belsay Hall and Berwick Barracks offers new ways of interpreting history through the work of well-known and emerging artists. The exhibitions are celebrated for the outstanding quality of the art, their ability to attract more visitors and the opportunities they present for young people to feel excited and want to get involved. English Heritage relies on fundraising in order to present the major contemporary art exhibitions at Belsay Hall.
