Liberty Road, Castletown, Dorset - DT5 1AZ Bookings:0870 333 0606
Artillery fort built by Henry VIII and used during the Civil War until WW2.
Travel back to a time before i-tunes and MP3 players! Specialist musician Stuart will help you to bring this Tudor castle to life with music and dance. Learn how to play and enjoy Tudor instruments such as the harp, timbrels and tambours, and practise a simple Tudor dance.
This interactive tour uses role play, costume, artefacts and investigation to reveal what life in the castle was like in the Tudor period. Can work as a team to work out how the canons were fired? Will you be able to make butter in the castle kitchen? Join us and find out!
You can also book a workshop or interactive tour at selected sites. At just £90 per group of up to 30 pupils it’s the perfect way to experience our sites. Call the regional booking office to check availability and to book.
