Achievements to date

Whilst waiting for the introduction of the Heritage Protection Bill, the Government, English Heritage and other partners have been working on those aspects of reform which do not require primary legislation. 

We have achieved a lot without legislation, as can be seen below, but this does not negate the need for a new Heritage Act to ensure a fully unified system of heritage protection.

What has been achieved?

The 1960s brutalist ziggurat buildings at the University of East Anglia

The Grade II* listed ziggurats at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. One of the Heritage Partnership Agreements pilots which demonstrated the considerable benefits of a partnership agreement.
