English Heritage has been designated an official provider of statistics. This means that for certain statistics produced by us (those deemed official statistics) we follow the guidance set out in the Code of Practice for Statistics. The Code makes recommendations about pre-release access and transparency on methodologies. It aims to increase public trust in the statistics produced by Government Departments and Non Departmental Government Bodies (NDPBs). For more information on the code please visit the UK statistics website.
