This map of cropmarks near The Vineyard shows Iron Age or Roman settlement (on the left) and possible Bronze Age barrows (showing as ring ditches on the right and top of the picture). Most of the archaeology recorded as part of the project survives as earthworks but an interesting cluster of cropmarks, including the enclosures in the picture, extend to the east of the River Leadon.
