Possible Roman enclosure near Hall Moor (NMR17265/10)
This site was first identified in flood conditions on 29-MAR-1999, but is also visible on 1948 RAF photographs. Similarities in plan with sites visible as cropmarks suggest this may be a rare earthwork survival of Roman remains, but other explanations also need investigation. © Crown copyright. NMR
