A possible late Saxon manorial enclosure at Gressenhall, central Norfolk photgraphed 20-JUN-1990. The site appears as a cropmark in the form of a sub-oval enclosure, located close to the parish church, and is comparable to excavated examples, such as Goltho in Lincolnshire. The faint outline of a possible hall building (or, more probably, several successive buildings) is visible within it. © Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service; photography by D.A. Edwards.
