Make sure your Father’s Day gift hits the target
English Heritage offers gift experiences with Have-a-go-Archery at Belsay on June 24
English Heritage has a spot-on solution for a socks-free gift this Father’s Day, with Have-a-go Archery sessions at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens.
The event is on June 24 – giving fathers a week to prepare themselves for the challenge. They will get one-to-one guidance from local experts the Ponteland Archers and can combine their sharp shooting outing with a visit to Picture House - an adventurous exhibition of Film, Art and Design on show at Belsay until September.
English Heritage events manager Jon Hogan said: “This is a great way to spend some quality time with your Dad and is something that the whole family can enjoy. Those who prefer not to tackle the archery challenge can visit the Picture House exhibition and enjoy the beautiful landscaped grounds of Belsay.
“The timing of the event a week after Father’s Day means that Dads get plenty of chance to look forward to their gift experience.”
Gift experience tickets for Have-a-go-archery can be printed out online at www.english-heritage.org.uk/archery. These are for presentation purposes only and are not valid for entry. Admission must be paid at Belsay on the day of the event: Adult £8.50; concessions £6.40; children £4.20; family ticket £21.20, English Heritage members free. Admission to Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens and the Picture House exhibition is included.
The event starts at 12pm on Sunday June 24, and the site opens from 10am until 5pm.
