First Class

Cathedrals Stamp Set The Royal Mail’s new collection, available at post offices today The Royal Mail today launches its latest edition of postage stamps, featuring the interiors of several of Britain’s finest cathedrals.

Three English cathedrals – Lichfield, Gloucester and Westminster – will now find themselves the latest prize of philatelists across the land, and alongside Worcester Cathedral (which features on the commemorative envelope) their images will be dropping through letterboxes across the world.

English Heritage is proud over the years to have played its part alongside the Wolfson Foundation in helping preserve these wonders of architecture, not least through its cathedral grants scheme, and congratulates the Royal Mail in bringing these gems to a global audience.
