Walmer Castle and Gardens Spring Flowers
Visit Walmer castle and enjoy the spring flowers in the magnificent gardens which surround this Tudor castle. You can also take a stroll down the broadwalk with its unique yew hedge as well as the moat and woodland walk. Don’t forget to visit HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother’s Garden created for her 95th birthday. The rest of the grounds are mainly wildlife gardens and are a good place to spot birds. The kitchen garden is fully functional and you can even purchase produce grown here in the shop.
Groups can have guided tours to explore the castle and gardens. There is the 'At Home at Walmer Castle' tour and the 'Garden Tour'. Both can make any visit to Walmer Castle extra special for your group.
Why not round your walk around the gardens off with a visit to the castle's tearoom. Groups can pre-book lunches and light refreshments, by calling the Catering Manager on 01304 363887.
