Organise a Visit to Tintagel Castle Today!
Tintagel Castle is set high on the coast of North Cornwall, amongst cliffs providing spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, an awe-inspiring and romantic spot, long associated with myths and legends, and is said to be the birth place of King Arthur, definitely worth a visit on any group itinerary.
The castle you see was actually built in the13th Century and is thought to be the result of the local obsession with links to King Arthur and Merlin, interest also reawoken by Tennyson’s Idylls of the King. Today, it’s equally popular with groups and tourists, who all love roaming the castle ruins.
We extensively refurbished our ‘Tintagel Castle Beach Café’ last year and now offer a delicious array of hot and cold food and drinks, locally sourced wherever possible. There’s nothing better than one of our Cornish pasties after a visit or how about a cream tea!
Coach parking is available in Tintagel village. A pleasant walk though the village is followed by an uneven track, though a Land Rover service (available at an additional charge but only available April - October) can deliver you to the exhibition and shop from the edge of the village.
Advanced booking for larger parties for the Land Rover service and your café requirements is strongly advised.
