Book now for The Home of Charles Darwin, Down House to Avoid Disapointment

Group visitors have been flocking to the Home of Charles Darwin, Down House since it re-opened in February with a superb new £1m exhibition celebrating his life and work marking the 200th anniversary of his birth.

The exhibition and the rooms where Darwin lived and worked for 40 years – including the study where he wrote 'On the Origin of Species' – have proved so popular that his charming, but relatively small, family home has seen a massive rise in visitors. It is now almost fully booked for group visits in until November 2009 - with just a few dates still remaining during the summer and better availability in the winter months.
