Before joining English Heritage in 2004, Diane worked previously as a Planning Archaeologist providing archaeological planning advice within the Counties of Leicestershire and Rutland. She has practical experience of PPG16 project work having worked for a number of archaeological organisations undertaking field and post-excavation work on a variety of archaeological sites in London and the South East, the Midlands, Scotland and abroad. She has also worked as an Archaeological Education Officer leading a number of educational and public activities at archaeological sites and schools.
Diane is currently involved with many high profile projects such as the Palace of Westminster, St Martin in the Fields and Kings Cross Regeneration. She is a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists and has gained a post-graduate degree in Heritage Management. Diane’s interests are in the conservation and presentation of World Heritage Sites, heritage-led regeneration, heritage interpretation and in promoting professional archaeological standards.
