The Corporate Communications Department is responsible for managing the organisation’s external relations with key sector decision-makers and influencers. This includes national, regional, local and trade media. We seek to promote our policies, work and people in a positive way so that the organisation is properly understood, valued and supported by its key stakeholders.
Corporate Communications
Corporate Communications promotes English Heritage’s work and policies to external audiences via the media, as well as running a range of campaigns to highlight the need to protect the historic environment such as Heritage at Risk.

Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance deals with corporate planning, the arrangements for governance meetings, risk management, audit, and is the first point of contact for English Heritage's sponsoring body, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Development Economics
The Development Economics Department provides a wide range of commercial property advice to the organisation on acquisitions, disposals and statutory casework relating to demolition and enabling development. It also carries out research on the economics of conservation and is the link to the property industry.

Policy
The Policy Team creates and disseminates English Heritage’s public policy as well as influencing policies that impact on the historic environment, including government policy.
