In 1845 the royal couple, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, commissioned the architect Thomas Cubitt to design and create a magnificent palace.
Osborne House gives visitors a unique insight into the couple's public and private lives through intimate family apartments and opulent state rooms.
The grounds of Osborne are also stunning with views of the Solent. They include a Victorian Walled Garden and Swiss Cottage, a chalet built for the royal children.
