Botanical collection

 The botanical reference collection comprises around 10,000 accessions. It has expanded greatly over recent years with the donation of the personal collection of Dr Frank Green and the accession of the private collection of Dr G Wilson. At present approximately one fifth of the collection has been entered onto the collection database, with current efforts concentrating on making the new accessions easily accessible to visiting researchers.  In addition to seeds, the collection includes a range of cereals, mosses, tubers and wood, as well as pollen.
