Voluntry groups/Adult education

Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS).  A two day introductory programme in archaeological science has been developed by English Heritage specialists and led by internal and external staff since 2002.  The programme is credited towards the NAS Part III: Advanced Certificate in Foreshore and Underwater Archaeology.   Courses have included archaeobotany, geoarchaeology, human osteology, insect studies, malacology and zooarchaeology.  All courses include theory and practical sessions.  Further teaching will be undertaken in 2005-2006.
