Bolsover Castle - Heats 1 & 2

Bolsover Castle (c) English Heritage Exterior View of the Little Castle and part of the Terrrace Range Set on the hilltop overlooking the vale, this great XVII century castle looks more like something from a storybook than a mighty stronghold. Built by the powerful Cavendish family, the castle boasts a fairy tale Little Castle and unique horse riding school. Knights and their horses visit Bolsover on May bank holiday to kick off the tournament for 2006.

Top tips!

  • Explore the riding school, and the Discovery centre in the Stables.
  • Enjoy the acclaimed Audio tour.
