Tynemouth Priory & Castle - Heats 15 & 16

  Tynemouth Priory and Castle Tynemouth Priory & Castle Hosting the final weekend of the Knights Tournament this year, Tynemouth guards the mouth of the River Tyne in a fantastic position on the headland. With a varied history, the site has been a Saxon monastery, a Benedictine priory founded in 1090, a medieval castle and a Coastal Artillery Fort! Explore the underground chambers beneath the World War I gun batteries, and enjoy beautiful coastal views. On the last date of the tournament, 20 August, the Sword of Honour will be awarded to the winning team at the Grand Final.
