In the Bronze Age the landscape went through great changes as farming developed. Bronze Age farmers cleared trees and made fields marked by earthen boundary banks.

The North Kite Enclosure is surrounded by such field systems but is not cut by them. This doesn't prove that the North Kite Enclosure is from the Bronze Age but does show that the farmers from that time respected it.
