Hardwick Old Hall,
We loved this cottage, so spacious and warm even with the wind whistling around the Old Hall ruins just behind the building. We spent four days exploring the local sights of Matlock Bath, Chatsworth, Bakewell and Wirksworth from Hardwick Hall, our greyhound loved his walks on the Lower Park, but it was nice to get back to the cottage to enjoy the views of both the old and new halls.
