With modern comforts in harmony with the historic interior, this mirror image of No 1 Sovereign's Gate also has its own private garden. Although not used by visitors today, it remains the entrance by which members of the royal family enter the estate. Located at the western tip of the estate follow The Avenue to the house or walk past the golf course to the beach.
No 2 Sovereign's Gate Osborne is the second of two holiday cottages that have been developed in this iconic building at Osborne. As the formal entrance to Osborne, Sovereign's Gate welcomed Lords and Ladies and visiting Heads of State to this magnificent royal retreat. Although not used by visitors to Osborne today, it remains the entrance by which members of the Royal family enter the Estate.
Explore the vast estate and garden, as well as Osborne House, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's family home, where you can glimpse into the private life of the royal family. Sovereign's Gate guests can access the beach at all times, including outside of opening to the general public.Discover Osborne
The cottage was fantastic and had everything we needed and more. We loved having the grounds to Osborne House all to ourselves out of opening hours. We watched the sun rise in the morning with hot chocolate on the beach and went on torch lit walks in the evenings. We are already planning our next stay.

We loved our stay in every way and look forward to other weekends and short breaks at other EH cottages! Loved the smaller touches of fresh flowers/hamper etc.

This is the first time we've booked a holiday with English Heritage. We were delighted with the high standard of accommodation, the staff were very helpful and the location was great! Thank you.
