    The tearoom is situated within the old stables building, serving home-made cakes, light lunches and hot and cold drinks. Our ingredients are locally-sourced where possible. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Please note that the tearoom accepts cash only.

    Introductory exhibition to Boscobel is in the entrance to the house (up one step). A virtual tour is available in the visitor centre. Picture exhibition of Boscobel House through the ages is located upstairs in the dairy block.

    Relaxing walled and knot gardens. Access is by paths across cobbled areas. Seating available. There are a choice of Victorian games in the garden including croquet, quoits, skittles and skipping ropes. There is a pleasant walk to the Royal Oak tree and also a permissive path to White Ladies Priory (another of Charles's hiding places) which is approximately 1 mile away. No ball games please.

    Guided tours are available. This tour is included in the admissions price and covers not only the history of this fully restored and refurbished lodge, but also the important part that the house and the tree subsequently named the 'Royal Oak' played in the escape of King Charles II following his defeat at Worcester in 1651.

    Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
