Please include the property name and date of visit in the subject line of your email along with the following information:

  • Group name
  • Name of property
  • Tour reference/booking reference (if applicable)
  • Date and time of arrival
  • Number of visitors

Payment method:

Payment can be made on arrival by: cash, credit/debit card, Agency Voucher Scheme (AVS).

Visit & Contact information

  • Coach parking: No dedicated coach parking, drop-off and pick-up from the entrance. Advance notice required.
  • Catering: Café seats 32 and serves hot and cold drinks, snacks and light meals.
  • Exhibition: Visit the exhibition to discover the stories of those who lived in the castle – from the ambitious Howard family to Mary Tudor, who rallied her supporters here. The site also run volunteer-led guided tours. Tours are not pre-bookable and are subject to volunteer availability, please enquire to find out when we may next be running these.
  • Access: The gravel in the ground floor areas within castle walls are loose gravel. Exhibition has level access (within Workhouse). There is access to first floor via platform lift. Steep spiral stairs to upper floors and wall walk. Earthworks beyond the castle accessed via rough tracks and very undulating ground.
  • Average length of visit: 2 hours.
