    Free parking with gravel surface for about 15 cars, located down a bumpy lane.

    The on site shop serves tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Cold drinks and various snacks are also available. Ice-cream is sold in the summer.

    You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds with wonderful views of the Welsh hills. Picnic tables and benches available.

    Gift shop selling a selection of English Heritage souvenirs and gifts, including books, snacks, hot and cold drinks, post cards and guide books.

    Pictorial interpretation boards guide the visitor and an introductory exhibition displays archaeological finds from the abbey site.

    Large open grassed areas with  wonderful views of Shrewsbury, site of battle of Shrewsbury and the Welsh Hills. Plenty of places to explore and running around space for families to let off steam. Children can make as much noise as they like (but please be considerate of other visitors). Kites allowed.

English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
