Explore the Castle

Play hide and seek around the ruins. Discover the aviary in the garden. What birds can you see? Can you find a bear? Listen to our children's audio tour, included in the admission price, as you roam the castle and Elizabethan garden.

Climb to the very top of Leicester's Tower to see for miles, and discover the history of the castle in the Gatehouse and Stables Exhibitions. With dressing up and a variety of interactive exhibits, there is plenty to keep your whole family entertained.

Stables Tearoom

After all that exploring you'll need something to keep you going, so pop into the Stables Tearoom in the atmospheric Tudor stables.

There is plenty of room for pushchairs, indoors or out, with highchairs available if you need one. During the summer, children can have their own lunch bags, containing a small sandwich, biscuit, carton of juice and a piece of fruit. Soup can be served in child-sized portions, and there are plenty of delicious homemade treats to keep your little ones happy.

Baby changing facilities are available in Leicester's Gatehouse.
