    Free parking is available at Kirby Muxloe Castle (spaces are shared with the local Fishing Club). There is some additional on-street parking located in Oakcroft Avenue. Please note: There is no coach and minibus parking available at the site.

    There are no food or drink facilities available at Kirby Muxloe Castle. The nearest off-site facilities can be found at the Castle Hotel.
  • Picnic Area

    You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the grounds of the castle.

    Dogs on leads are welcome at the site.

  • Gardens

    The picturesque moated remains of Kirby Muxloe Castle are surrounded by grassed areas and a moat, perfect for picnics or walks. There are also a number of benches situated throughout the grounds.

    Children are welcome to explore the grounds of the castle, however there is limited room for games.

    Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
