Lindisfarne Priory’s museum and shop have recently undergone an exciting refurbishment!

New objects have been put into the museum, some of which were excavated very recently. A new monument for St Cuthbert now marks his original burial place and a poem and artwork has been specially commissioned for the Priory. Oswald, King of Northumbria, summons Irish monk Aidan from Iona to be bishop of his kingdom. Oswald grants Lindisfarne to Aidan for his monastery.
