You can book online until 8.45am on the day of your visit. You can still buy a ticket when you arrive, but you won’t get the discount. 

Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

You can join as a member online or during your visit.

Wheelchair Access
Accessible using ramps and wheelchair lift. Please be aware that the corridors are narrow. Please note that due to health and safety regulations we can only accommodate one wheelchair in the bunker at a time.
Entrance / Set Down
Visitors with limited mobility may be set down at the entrance.
Disabled Parking
Very limited parking on site as we share parking with the local housing around the bunker.

Stairs
Steep stairs to main entrance and to ground level. Can be avoided by using the wheelchair entrance and chair lift.

A guided tour, enhanced by a striking 10-minute film (PG rated) and interpretation, tells the story of the Cold War’s ‘Mutually Assured Destruction’. Tours last approx 1 hour. No need to book. During summer our final tour is at 5, in winter the final tour is at 3.
