Mark Haddon

Mark Haddon, author of the literary phenomenon The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, has now written a macabre tale inspired by the York Cold War Bunker. Mark's post-apocalyptic story is part of a new collection of fiction set at our properties - Eight Ghosts: The English Heritage Book of New Ghost Stories

Meet Mark and hear him read from his new work and discuss the tradition of the ghost story. After that, a twilight tour of the bunker will reveal the haunted histories of English Heritage's most chilling site.
