Ferguson's Gang was an eccentric group of women who helped save buildings and places of historic importance during the 1920's and 30's. With the motto "England is Stonehenge not Whitehall", they were inspired by Stonehenge to reconnect to their own pagan past.
This is the second in a series of lectures exploring the monument's more recent history, to mark the centenary of Stonehenge being gifted to the nation by Cecil and Mary Chubb. The talk will be delivered by Polly Bagnall and Sally Beck, authors of 'Ferguson's Gang - The Remarkable Story of the National Trust Gangsters'.
