Among the largest sepulchral chapels attached to any English church, this cruciform mausoleum houses a remarkable sequence of 17 sculpted and effigied monuments, spanning nearly two and a half centuries (1614-1859), to the De Grey family of Wrest Park.

Before You Go
Opening Times: The mausoleum is attached to Flitton Church, St John the Baptist, and is accessed via its nave. The mausoleum is open from 2pm to 4pm on the following dates in 2024:

Volunteers are on hand at these times and will be very happy to answer visitors' questions and share their knowledge about the mausoleum and the De Grey family.
Audio tour: There is an audio tour for the mausoleum and we advise that it is downloaded prior to your visit as the mobile network signal strength in the mausoleum and the church is rather variable - click here for information about the tour and to download it.
Parking: There is no car park at the church but there is limited on-street parking available on surrounding streets.
Facilities: There are no facilities at the church but there is a pub in the village and more options in either Flitwick or Ampthill.
