Explore Belsay Hall's beautiful historic gardens at their blooming best with tours, demonstrations and stalls. Our gardeners will be on hand throughout the day to share their hints and tips, and you can listen to live music as you soak up the sights and scents of the garden.

If you’ve been inspired to get green-fingered you can browse the plant stalls and pick out something for your own garden. Budding gardeners can get involved in games and crafts throughout the day. 

Timetable

11.00am - Garden Tour 

Explore Belsay’s gardens as never seen before with a behind the scenes tour from our expert Gardening team. Please meet at the front of the Hall 5 minutes before the tour begins.

12.15pm - Band performance (around the side of the Hall)

Enjoy a short performance by one of the area’s finest local bands. 

1.00pm - Garden Tour 

Explore Belsay’s gardens as never seen before with a behind the scenes tour from our expert Gardening team. Please meet at the front of the Hall 5 minutes before the tour begins.

2.15pm - Band performance (around the side of the Hall)

Enjoy a short performance by one of the area’s finest local bands.

Make your very own Fairy Garden or Mini Bug Hotel, plus get involved with our hands on potting station. 

Children’s garden explorer trail!

Calling all mini explorers! Grab a trail sheet and join the hunt around the gardens at Belsay, what you can spot? 

Family sunflower planting      

Plant your very own sunflower seed than take it away and watch it grow. How tall will yours get? 

Machinery displays, Gardener Q&A and plant sales 

See various machinery, treat yourself to some plants, plus an opportunity to ask our expert gardening team for tips.

Croquet and Garden Games 

Join the Belsay Hall Croquet team for demonstrations, and then test your own skills with our garden games.
