We are pleased to be playing our part in Illuminate 2026, which is run by Discover Gainsborough and the West Lindsay District Council.

This year’s theme is ‘Through The Window’, which is inspired by the architecture of the town’s iconic buildings but also provides a lens for reflecting on themes of exclusion, acceptance and perceptions.

Multiple projections will be on display this year, with our interior and exterior walls being lit up with beautiful colours and patterns.

Our magnificent Great Hall will display shadow puppet plays surrounding unlikely friendships and looking below the surface, with original stories and authentic voices of local school children behind the creations.

You can join in with this entire event for free, including entry to the Hall between 6 and 8pm.

Join the parade starting from Lord Street and be amazed by the fire garden over at our neighbouring Parish Church.
