Meet a celebrated monarch in our interactive story-telling sessions or join us for a fairy trail to see if you can spot a magical resident. Have a go at testing your spy skills and strength in a WWII obstacle course and don’t forget to come and explore the Victorian jobs your history teacher’s too timid to tell you!

Come and explore the murky world of crime and punishment in the Victorian age. Hear the scandals of insidious grave robbers, secretive conspirators and the dastardly world of smuggling.

Travel back in time for a royal adventure at Audley End to uncover the myths and legends Of England's past. The lives of four of our most celebrated and notorious monarchs are brought to life in interactive performances for all the family.
Mon 5 Aug - Sun 11 Aug - Country Houses
Discover what life was like upstairs and downstairs for lords, ladies and the people served them at Audley End. Take part in some good old fashioned fun. Play with Victorian toys and meet the toymakers who made them.
Mon 12 Aug - Sun 18 Aug - Myths and Legends
Tip toe around the gardens to find the smallest, most magical residents! Join our Victorian adventurers as they guide you around the site and tell you fascinating stories inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's experience with fairies. How many doorways will you find?
Mon 19 - Sat 24 Aug - Secrets and Spies
Attention! Right you ‘orrible lot, it’s training time. Become a Home Front hero and be put through your paces at Audley End. Fall into step and polish your shoes or it’ll be basic rations for you. Discover Audley End’s secret wartime past with this hands on experience of soldiers on the front line.
