Join site manager John Bonner to hear how each siege developed over the years; from undermining the walls in 1216 to the introduction of siege engines in 1315. How the siege of 1461 was one of the bloodiest episodes of the War of the Roses (and one of the earliest uses of artillery), through to the last sieges and the use of gunpowder in both1645 and 1745. Light refreshments will be served on site after the tour.

This event has been graded as moderate access as we will be spending plenty of time outside, taking in steps and uneven ground along the tour route. Please dress for the weather.
