Easby Abbey

Events

Thanks to our fantastic volunteers we are able to host events across our open season (April to October), as well as a limited number of events during the winter season. Please check here for updates on the latest events.

Guided Tours

Our Summer Tours will be taking place every Sunday at 2pm.

Visitors are welcome to turn-up on the day and places on the tour will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, if you would like to pre-book, please do so by e-mailing Kate.Streatfield@english-heritage.org.uk

Please note: the tours are reliant on the availability of our volunteers and in very inclement weather the tour may not go ahead.

Festival of Archaeology

Most of what we know about Easby Abbey is based on an archaeological excavation done in 1886. This interactive tour will tell the story of that dig, how it has shaped our view of the Abbey and how things might be done differently today.

Join us for a guided tour as we celebrate the Festival of Archaeology, with our brilliant Lead Volunteer Kate.
