Win a five-star theatre break to see The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

Funny, profound and deeply moving, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is an uplifting new musical adapted from Rachel Joyce’s multimillion-selling novel of the same name.

Following a sold-out run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, this five-star “pitch-perfect musical” (The Times) transfers to Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End on 29 January for 11 weeks only.

Harold Fry was never meant to be a hero. He’s an ordinary man living an ordinary life – until a letter from a long-lost friend sends him out the door and he keeps on walking.

From Devon’s quiet lanes to the windswept streets of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Harold’s journey becomes a pilgrimage of love, redemption and second chances. Strangers turn into companions, kindness appears in unexpected places and the road reveals more than Harold ever imagined. And back home, his wife Maureen begins her own journey – one that might bring them together again.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is a moving celebration of the human spirit and a reminder it’s never too late to start again. Featuring “a ravishing score” (The Times) by the chart-topping indie musician Passenger (Let Her Go), Katy Rudd (Ballet Shoes, The Ocean at the End of the Lane NT/West End) directs Mark Addy (The Full Monty, The Rig and Game of Thrones) as Harold and Jenna Russell (Sunday in the Park with George, Hello, Dolly) as Maureen.

One English Heritage member will win a pair of premium tickets to see the show, plus an overnight stay and afternoon tea at The Royal Horseguards Hotel – an impressive historic building situated on the River Thames, combining Victorian grandeur with elegant, first-class contemporary comfort.

A quintessentially British activity such as afternoon tea calls for a setting that radiates warmth and sophistication, and the Royal Horseguards’ afternoon tea is the perfect example, their Green Parlour being the ideal spot to experience a treasured tradition.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is playing at Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End from 29 January. See below for details of how to enter our prize draw to win tickets - you can also find out more about the show and book tickets from £25 at haroldfrymusical.com.
