WIN A WEST END THEATRE BREAK TO SEE SHADOWLANDS PLUS AN OVERNIGHT STAY AT ONE ALDWYCH

One lucky English Heritage member will win two tickets to see the critcally acclaimed Shadowlands plus an indulgent overnight stay at One Aldwych in central London.

Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Paddington, Twenty Twelve) stars as C.S. Lewis alongside the acclaimed Maggie Siff (Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Billions) as the spirited American poet Joy Davidman whose unexpected love transforms the orderly academic life of C.S. Lewis – the celebrated author of The Chronicles of Narnia.

What begins as a meeting of minds becomes an uplifting and powerful journey of love and the fragile beauty of life.

Based on a true story, Shadowlands is written by William Nicholson and was adapted from his own original BAFTA-Award-winning TV movie. It soon became a West End smash hit, winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Play, followed by a triumphant Tony-Award-winning Broadway transfer.

In 1993 the play was adapted into a major feature film directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger, which subsequently won the BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film.

As well as a pair of theatre tickets, the winner will also enjoy a three-course, pre-theatre supper at Indigo and breakfast the next morning at One Aldwych. Ideally located in the heart of Covent Garden, One Aldwych is just steps away from the theatre and an abundance of extraordinary dining, museums and renowned shopping, with cornerstones of British culture within easy reach.

Originally a sell-out at Chichester Festival Theatre, Shadowlands, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, is playing at London’s Aldwych Theatre for a strictly limited run until 9 May 2026.

So, don’t delay – see below for how to enter today for a chance to win. You can also find out more information about Shadowlands and book tickets (from £30) at shadowlandsplay.com.
