Discover Hardwick Old Hall
Built in 1620, this imposing property is located in the heart of the Hardwick Estate overlooking the Derbyshire countryside. East Lodge is situated within the walled grounds of the romantic ruin of Hardwick Old Hall. This spacious holiday cottage, with its high ceilings and lead light windows has spectacular views of Hardwick Hall and its gardens.
Hardwick was home to Bess, one of the most formidable women of Elizabethan England, who was the matriarch of the Cavendish family, building Chatsworth with her second husband and returning to build the two great halls at Hardwick after her separation from her fourth husband the Earl of Shrewsbury.Find out more
We absolutely loved East Lodge and the location. We had a fantastic, restful break. We will return.
Excellent communication from Graham. The VIP tickets to Bolsover Castle were the icing on the cake. Will definitely stay there again.
The welcome pack was much appreciated as was the phone call saying the cottage was ready. The location was excellent for access to Hard wick Hall, our elderly parents could walk around the house and grounds knowing they could go and have a rest when ever they wanted to. A really beautiful place with all comforts of home.
